If thats the transport you have available, it just make sense to use RTUs that natively support T1/E1. Since most RTUs are LAN-only, you may not have realized that this was even a possibility. In reality, a T1/E1 RTU can give you monitoring and several routed LAN ports for less than a typical LAN card from your transport manufacturer. Video: These RTUs support your T1 or E1, allowing you to use WAN transport to transmit alarm monitoring data. They can report back to a DPS master station or SNMP manager, and you can also get the necessary WAN muxes and VLAN routers from DPS: Play T1/E1 RTU Video In case youre looking for something else, here are the Top 5 most important areas of the DPS website: Helpful white paper tutorials (PDFs) Case studies of real-world monitoring All DPS products DPS company profile Ask a question or request pricing Best Regards, Mac Smith Mac Smith Sales DPS Telecom 559-454-1600 P.S.
