Awake...and thinking....I was raised forced to listen to twangy country & MY music was discarded as awful (I did get a set of headphones tho :) So I snuck off to my first Concert at age 14 & FELL IN LOVE with loud, heartfelt music. Bought tickets for these guys & taking my 11 year old, shy, quiet, sensory challenged, but musically gifted boy to his 1st Rock Concert (seats in back, will have ear covers on hand). Am I a sloppy parent to introduce my kid to such serious, awesome music so young? Flip side, I sure wish I had been exposed to cool music openly at a young age, without all the Thats the Devils Music kinda guilt that was rampant in the 80s... Whatever your taste, people that can make powerful music that comes from their souls...that is good music. Whether you personally like it or not...IMHO.
