## Award Of The Week - Hope Rooms from Swanland ## This weeks Award Of The Week goes to 13 year old Hope Rooms from Swanland. Hope 13, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy stood out for me after featuring in this weeks Hull Daily Mail hulldailymail.co.uk/People-stare-think-bald-head-suits-8211-Hope/story-22766211-detail/story.html telling her story about losing her hair, having people stare and unbelievably making remarks about her appearance Hope is staying strong and fighting this awful condition; whilst only halfway through her treatment Hope is trying to create awareness that being bald is beautiful and educating people about the cancer she has, Rhabdomyosarcoma Shes held an assembly at the school she attends to educate her peers and has even unbelievably managed to raise money for charity. Hope has been nominated for this years Mails Pride Of East-Yorkshire Award by her mother, Julie Rooms, under the Courageous Child category and Nice 2 b Nice cant think of a more deserving winner; Hope youre an inspiration to many fighting cancer and Nice 2 b Nice wish you a speedy recovery and congratulate you on taking the time out to create awareness, educate and showing others going through the same thing that bald is beautiful ...........
