Award-winning CAREGiver Kathy fondly remembers the good times with her clients. And, as she points out, nearly all of her time with seniors is fulfilling. For instance, there was the living-room dancing with a female client who had Alzheimer’s disease, but whose vibrant long-term memories included Glenn Miller tunes, classical music and sometimes Frank Sinatra’s crooning. Recalling her seven years with the widow, Kathy said: “She loved to dance and had a lot of memories of dancing. I found Glenn Miller CDs for her. We would dance around the living room a little bit. My goodness, she was good. She knew all the steps, rumba included.”
