MAKE UR PLANS When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge - TopicsExpress

MAKE UR PLANS When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change. At the core of economics is the idea that mans wants are multifarious insatiable as we are plagued with scarcity. However, this world is not the Garden of Eden where abundance reigns. As mans wants are numerous as numerals there is a lucid need to draft a scale of preference which reveals the ordinal arrangement of our wants in order of priority, as wants which are relatively more pressing are satisfied first while those of less urgency are deferred. This does not mean that does wants which were deferred would remain unsatisfied rather they would be attended once those of immense priority have been satisfied. The bottom line is that we as humans all have spiritual, financial, material and intellectual aspirations to achieve, however once these are achieved, man naturally and inherently desires to stretch to the next level. The paradox and brutal truth is that, we dont terminate our quest for the best when one goal is achieved. No one sincerely wants to get stuck in any momentary victory at least he or she would desire to keep up with the Jonses or surpass the Jonses, truly, nothing succeeds like success. In the year 1943, the American psychologist, Abraham Maslow presented his ground breaking theory: Hierarchy of Needs, in his paper, A Theory of human motivation. Maslow wittingly summarized all human needs into five categories with a bottom-top approach, represented as a pyramid with essential needs at the bottom. The lower level needs like food and security, need to be satisfied before higher-order needs can influence behaviour. Once the physiological need is satisfied, behold the need for security, love and self-actualization in that order. You naturally want to succeed more because continuous success is part of Gods plan for your life. It is now expedient to categorically emphasize that every novel achievement and higher ground attained is accompanied by a unique challenge, difficulty and responsibility. As a result of this, you need not relax and display laxity, thinking you have arrived because greater challenges await you. No wonder the bible forewarned Christians having attained a new level of being regenerated to be vigilant of the devilness of the devil in 1Peter 5:8: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Work out your salvation. Thank God you have known that it’s not late to start where you are, resolved to dream a new dream and set out a plan to achieve you earnest desires, yet it’s germane to strongly caution that it’s not going to be less herculean but stormy. You should at all time or phase of life be equipped and ready to combat the challenges that results from advancement. Everyone have this point in time when all is well and then unexpectedly, without warning or alert, something we do not anticipate occurs and things fall apart. Hence; We are forever grateful to God because he has been so faithful to us. For many of us the year 2013 had us in her hit list because we exploited it, killed it and buried it, yet we should be aware that 2014 has her own challenges and responsibility on our own part. Stay passionate about life, have a joyful outlook, pay the price, trust in God and remember: Every NEW LEVEL attracts NEW Challenges...Jesus saves!
