Overweight & feel too self-conscious to exercise ? Try doing it with sick all over you…. A lot of people when they first begin exercising are very self-conscious, let me tell you that EVERYONE feels that way. Especially in a confined gym setting and perhaps more so if they are overweight, they think people will stare, judge and maybe even laugh at them. You couldn’t be further from the truth, the vast majority of people will applaud you (not literally of course - that would be a bit weird wouldn’t it ?). No, they will think you’re one cool cat for having the strength and motivation to take action and put yourself way outside your comfort zone, in order to become fitter and healthier. ‘Good for you’ they’ll be saying under their breath – They probably won’t tell you that, because people don’t talk to each other in the gym – Theyre all worried what people will think ! So they may just give you a knowing nod, or smile. And the tiny minority that don’t think this way are dicks, so their opinions don’t count. But if you do want to feel self-conscious and have people will stare, point and laugh, then you should try having sick down your face, over your top, shorts, socks and trainers – I’ll tell you all about how this happened to me tomorrow.
