Awesome! Well mr kinkaid is no more. Few people realize that many of the small cottages that he drew were inspired by small bungalows in Sacramentos own land park (where his grandmother lived). Ive never been a fan of the painter if light - but his marketing? Sure. Take a poster have an assistant dab some paint on it and sell it for $10k? Awesome. On a personal note. On day in the store a few years ago - a lady and I were talking art. And kinkaid came up. I pretty much lambasted him. Suddenly another client came up to me and whispered you know thats Thomas kinkaid over there? (In my store). I was like no way! So I looked him up on the Internet and sure enough. He heard my rant against him. To his credit he never said a word and walked up to the counter. Bought something then left. True story. Odd thing is Id never talked about kinkaid in the store before.
