Awesome happy-go-lucky boy who would love the chance at a stable home for once in his young life!!!! CHAMP: URGENT FINAL FINAL Rescue Plea for a “Don’t Look Back” Male Pit Bull Mix at Anne Arundel County Animal Control, Millersville, MD – Sherry Durm · FREE TO A RESCUE: Champ’s pull fees will be paid by a generous supporter of our shelter · Champ did well with people around food and with dogs, but seemed scared of cats. · Received bordetella and distemper vaccinations (all dogs do). · Arrived Sept. 4; now interacts daily with volunteers. · Champ weighs 60 pounds and is about 2 years old. The only time you should ever look back is to see how far you’ve come. In his two short years, handsome blue-and-white Champ has had at least two owners that we know of: the Anne Arundel County man who gave him up to us because he was “moving – can’t take” and the family in Baltimore County who handed Champ over to that man six months earlier. Champ arrived with a black spiked leather collar but not much information about his former life. He lived indoors in a household without other pets or children and is housebroken. The former owner’s father, who brought Champ to the shelter, described him as “friendly, active, smart and playful.” Volunteers say he is very strong, can pull hard and could benefit from some training. Interestingly, without comparing notes, two of our volunteers came up with unusual, but strikingly similar, descriptions of Champ; one called him “resilient,” and the other said he “seems friendly but not needy.” Champ, it seems, is not a dog who is looking back longingly to where he’s been, but forward to where he hopes to be. Champ is looking ahead to spending a long, happy life at his next, and final, home. Can you help him do that? We know your work is often difficult, but please know that it is always appreciated! Please share Champ’s plea. All Pit Bulls at AACAC are ONLY available thru rescue. The green check on his photo means we are looking for a rescue for Champ.
