Awesome testimony about our wonderful God! Christy Mission - TopicsExpress

Awesome testimony about our wonderful God! Christy Mission Community Outreach & Fellowship was today. This am we were wondering if we might have to build an ark as it was beyond raining buckets. I decided we needed two more canopies to go with our five so we could make sure there was plenty of dry seating for all the guests. As I drove to Wal-Mart I said to the Lord-God you are able to clear the skies over the Christy Mission today. Your word says You have given us authority to bind and release things on earth and I want this rain to stop in the Name of Jesus so we can have our worship & church service and everyone can enjoy their meal. Then my spirit was humbled and I changed my prayer and said but Lord if You want us to huddle under canopies in this pouring rain, then Your will be done. I was reminded of one other rainy time when we only had two canopies and were forced on stage and under our food service lines which was a beautiful time of fellowship that seemed more intimate because we were so close together because of the rain. When I got to Wal-Mart I decided three canopies would be better in case Dayton needed an extra one beside the stage so I put three in my buggy and went to checkout. There was a man in one of the electric carts for the handicap in front of me so he had a good distance between him and the lady checking out in front of him. I noticed the lady had a huge amount of umbrellas. My first thought was why was this lady buying all these umbrellas? I looked at her as she was a beautiful lady who was dressed very classy and in red heels and a beautiful red satin hat. I thought surely this lady isnt working the parking lot at one of the big fancy churches-surely the men would be assisting the parking lots, right? Well she was too far ahead of me for me to nosely ask her why she was buying the $149 worth of umbrellas. I did ask the clerk if she had stated why and the clerk said she hadnt. So I buy my canopies and go back to the ministry where others were waiting for the caravan up the beautiful Del Rio Mtns. I had no longer pulled back into the ministry parking lot when someone pulled in and rolled their window down. It was the beautiful red hatted lady I had just seen at Wal-Mart buying the umbrellas. She had seen one of our people walking to Feed My Sheep in the pouring rain holding her coat over her head and realized there was needy people who couldnt afford or didnt have umbrellas. She had bought beautiful colors for women and men-shorter ones that expanded and longer ones that the elderly could also use for canes if needed. I thanked her but she refused to accept any credit as it was all the Lords doing. I prayed with her and asked the Father for a mighty blessing here on earth and for heavenly treasures to be stored in heaven for her compassionate hearts reward. She told me her nickname was Angel and she prayed the model prayer with me-which we commonly call the Lords prayer. I again thanked her for her on-time act of love and she backed out of our parking lot only to return a couple min later and asked if she could follow us up the mtns and come to our service instead of going to her church today and I was thrilled to have her come! Angel came and after our worship music and teaching by Dayton, our wonderful Pastor, she asked if she could share a message that the Lord had asked her to come and say. It was a message to someone or several people who had been the abuser to women & children; that even though they had done some really bad things and caused, in some cases, life-long pain thats never been healed. That the Lord loved them and wanted them to repent and turn to Him because He loved them despite their actions of which could be forgiven. She also shared how she had been incestually molested and then raped later in life and how the Lord had turned her anger and malice of years of hate, into forgiveness of her offenders. That also many there were victims on different areas on the path of the healing process and that God was going to bring beauty from the ashes to those who would allow Him. Many of you who know me have heard that the I have felt the Lord calling me to start a womens ministry to help bring healing to the hurting women in our area who are victims of many types of abuse. He has spoken to me since March about birthing this ministry. This ministry will start in September and the Lord finally gave me the name last Saturday night as I sat alone worshipping and praying to Him on my front porch. The name is Breaking Free and Im so thankful that the Lord confirmed this ministry again today, that He can exchange beauty for ashes and that when we minister and love others, it helps start the healing process. We are all on different stages of the path of healing but we have a God who is waiting to show Himself strong on behalf of those who seek Him no matter the wounding that has ripped and torn us into fragments emotionally, spiritually and sometimes physically. He desires to comfort all who mourn, to bestow a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of the mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Thank you Jesus for binding up the brokenhearted, for proclaiming freedom for the captives, and opening the prison doors of those imprisoned! I realize this was a long message but Im so grateful that our Living God still moves in the rainy days and sends His servants to speak to His children so we are reminded of His sovereignty in our lives and that Hes still in the healing business! What a mighty God we serve! Praise to Him and Him alone! Can one person really make a difference? Yes, you can! Study, pray and listen for His mission for your life each day! You can bring shelter to those who are being soaked in life;you can confirm what Gods calling someone to do; you can feed those who are hungry; you can encourage those who may be contemplating suicide; you may be the only Bible someone reads today. Listen and obey! Theres so many people who are trapped in hopelessness who need someone who truly cares. Will you be the people of God who says, here I am send me? What will you do with Jesus church? After 2, 000 yrs, the question is still the same. One person can make a difference in someones life.
