Awhile ago on The CrossFit Las Cruces Blog we were asked as a gym why do we do CrossFit? Why do we come back day after day? I wanted to answer this question but I wanted to think about it because some days in the middle of a workout I will question myself on why I do this day in and day out. First and For most I do it to glorify God. Secondly I do it because I love the sport of it and the community, I love the feeling when I get a new PR or the feeling after a crazy hard work out. CrossFit has made me physically and mentally stronger. It transfers over to everything I do. In school when there is a daunting task set before me CrossFit has given me the mental strength to get through whatever I am doing. It has given me purpose and goals to strive for! I honestly do not know where I would be with out CrossFit. Before CrossFit I had no true goals to strive for except for the typical get a degree and career goals. CrossFit has made me strive for something greater then just living, It has made me strive to better myself and those around me every day no matter what. This is something I take personally. Yes it is one thing to better yourself but I love seeing people get a new PR or be able to do a full depth squat for the first time or a handstand push-up for the first time. I do CrossFit also because I want to have functional movement. CrossFit is designed this way and it is set up to our natural movements. I have become a better Person and Athlete because of CrossFit and there is always room for improvement and goals and that keeps me coming back everyday. There are reasons why I do CrossFit that I can not put into words. Simply the fact that I love it!
