Axe to fall on 36 government agencies to save nearly 500 million dollars (abc.net.au/news/2014-05-12/dozens-of-agencies-to-fall-under-federal-budget-axe/5445354) while the government pays over 1 billion dollars to just one private company, Transfield to run two human rights violating refugee internment camps in Manus Island and Nauru. Amnesty international for example, has reported that asylum seekers in Manus are being subjected to cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment according to international law. Do the Math-It seems Tony Abbott and his team value punishment and cruel and degrading treatment of asylum seekers and paying private corporations to profit from this, over proper access to hospitals and education for all.
