Ay 9:10 this morning I was in an accident on the ramp from 217 onto Hwy 26 headed with my younger granddaughter, Cheyenne to the Renaissance Faire in Hillsoboro. In those micro seconds before I impacted the backend of my car with the concrete divider, all that flashed through my mind was get around to my side, get around to my side, do not hit the passenger side. The damage does not look like much, and only the insurance will tell what will happen with my car. I do not care even a tiny bit about my car, but if I had been hit in the passenger side, Cheyenne most likely would have had seriously life threatening injuries, if not killed. You see, where we ended up, and in the process of ending up there a car missed us by inches of impacting us either head on or in the passenger side. I have to type this to release the anxiety I have over it. It is those what ifs. I was driving a little too fast. the roads were running with water and my car has been acting squirrely. This ramp is well known as the major accident ramp in our area and I had just mentioned it and slowed down to a safe speed. For this to happen...I can only say...God was making a statement. This is the first time I have ever been able to spend a day with her in her whole life. She is 14. I do not have a lot of time left with her. And she is this beautiful young lady. We did get to our faire, although it was like walking around a shallow lake with rain pouring down. There was so much to see and do and the weather was so miserable that she made the call to head back home after an hour and a half. We could have spent the whole day enjoying this unique experience. I do hope we will have the chance to go to another one. It was wonderful. LOL...getting my hand kissed by so many men was ...shall I say..nice... My neck and head and shoulder ache. I took some aspirin, If anyone has advice on what to do, please give it. Thanks and God bless you all.
