Ayaz Amirs article: and reply of Col (retd) Nazir Ahmed (author of East Pakistan 1971- Distortion and Lies) :- Army, Army, Army. Ayaz Amir,shunted out of the Army as junior officer has absolutely no sense in what crap he is talking in his recent article (The News, Nov 15) asking if the Army has learnt lesson. While I and many others feel that JI needs to be banned and its leaders punished for their devilish thoughts, blaming the Army for Jammat’s actions is absolutely rubbish. During the past it was not the Army but the State of Pakistan with all its instruments that nurtured Jihadis against Russian invasion of Afghanistan. Since Ayaz Amir does not know the simple fact that if you place a devil on the chair of Armys Chief, those under command will have to obey him or quit, he is wrongly abusing Army as institution in his write ups. Zia and Musharraf were placed on the chair of Army Chief by Global capitalist Establishment for tasks assigned in their global game; a quasi mullah to confront godless Russians and a so call liberal Musharraf to dismantle Jihadi network. About JI Chiefs utterances if I had the power I would make an example of him in public and do the same to anyone who came forward to oppose that. The writers sould stop blaming and abusing the Army for actions of individuals. Army has already suffered greatly during the periods of Yahya, Zia and Musharraf when they took over Govts. Army as institution neither selected them as Chiefs nor could have asked them to take over Govts.
