BAA comes up short as Devonshire Colts advances to the Shield Final. Devonshire Colts 1 (4) BAA 1 (3) - After Extra Time & Penalty Kicks After a scoreless first half at the Bernard Park, Jair Minors gave BAA the lead in the 60th minute, this after collecting a pass and curling a lefty footed shot that beat the outstretched hand of the Devonshire Colts goalkeeper Greg Rose. Seven minutes later the Devonshire Colts did have a chance to level things, but Lozendro Symonds’ penalty kick was saved, however two minutes later the score was level. Vernell Lambe was found over the back of the BAA defense and he was able to beat the advancing BAA goalkeeper and a defender to place the ball in the back of the net. The teams failed to score for the rest of regulation and they failed to score in the Extra Time period, with the match having to be settled on kicks from the penalty mark. Devonshire Colts would advance after London Roberts and Troy Tucker had their penalty kicks saved by Rose. Islandstats.
