BABANLA NONESENSE Nigerians are at it again! Just a few days - TopicsExpress

BABANLA NONESENSE Nigerians are at it again! Just a few days ago, the information filtered round that to prevent contracting the dreaded Ebola Virus, the consumption of bitter kola (orogbo) is recommended. I was surprised when a lady with whom am well-acquainted requested me to get some of it for her. Much as I tried to convince her that the recommendation is unfounded, she insisted. So I bought Orogbo for her. I woke up this morning to my phone ringing. My elder sister on the line. She rather frantically reeled out the latest instructions on how to prevent Ebola. She said I should instruct my wife not to bath the children with soap but with warm water and salt. The same recipe should be drunk. She begged me not take the information with levity and that I should observe the same routine. Warm water and salt? Says who? Am sure many parents will take the information hook, line and sinker. I hope tomorrow they wont tell us to eat our pooh to prevent Ebola. How about asking us to start eating lizards? Nigeria, I hail oooooo. N.B: I have just read that excessive salt in the system can lead to HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, STROKE, KIDNEY STONE, STOMACH CANCER and HEART FAILURE. External signs include BLOATING and PUFFINESS.
