BALLANGHAR UNITED SOCIETY 2014 ANNUAL DEEKAL CHOSAN. May i take this opportunity to once again thank all those who participated or contributed to this years annual DEEKAL CHOSAN in one way or the other to make this program the most successful and historic event since its inception in 2006. This years event was so historic due to the fact that, it marked the reunion of the great Mbalakh star FATOU LAWBEH TOURAY with her family in Ballaghar. Fatous father MAMUT SAMBA TOURAY was borned, bred and past away in Ballaghar. Fatou is however residing in Senegal where she grew up and become an international music star. She has on many occasions on radio and TV shows declared that she is from Ballanghar which many have doubted for many years. She joint the Ballanghar United Society this year to grace the event upon invitation by the executive members of B.U.S. Fatou was given a very warm welcome by the people of Ballanghar and Saloum at large. She was opportune to meet her family which includes her fathers younger brother who share the same mum and dad with her father, aunties , uncles, brothers from the same father, cousins, sisters, grandmothers, grandfathers, fans and many others for the first time. The reunion was so emotional many could not control their emotions but had to cry. Fatou thanks the society for such a Godly initiative. She said this is a dream come true for her and promise to keep the union flourish. Remember, the societys objective is to create a platform in which every Ballangharian regardless of where you are will have the opportunity to contribute your quota towards the development of Ballanghar and the nation at large. thanks everyone and hope to see you there next year. regards, Katim N.D Touray Secretary General B.U.S
