BARCELONA V REAL MADRID // Tip Away Win Real Madrid will tonight play their bitter rival Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final. The last time the two sides met, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-4 making them drop 3 points below the table leader. Tonight could be Carlo Ancelotti’s best chance of a trophy this season because table leader Atletico Madrid already ahead of them three points in La Liga. Further still, all time goal scorer Christiano Ronaldo will be out due to thigh injury but Real Madrid are not worse off when their goal machine is absent than when he plays. In the ten games that Ronaldo has missed, Real have lost only once, and that was to Borussia Dortmund which still saw them progress on aggregate. They have won eight of the their nine and scoring 28 times in the process. On the other hand Barcelona crashed out of the Champions League last week, and suffered another defeat at Granada on the weekend that left them third place in La Liga. They have won just two of the five games since Victor Valdes picked up his end of season injury, and have gone two games without scoring for the first time in many years. Looking at the intense rivalry between the two clubs, and the pressure that hangs over from Barceolona’s 4-3 victory in March, I feel this cup final could be explosive.
