BARDSTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT 212 NELSON COUNTY PLAZA BARDSTOWN, KY. 40004 CHIEF RICK McCUBBIN 502-348-6811 ******PRESS RELEASE****** TYPE OF OFFENSE: Assault 1st degree, burglary 2nd. Tampering with physical evidence, unlawful imprisonment and theft by unlawful taking. SUSPECT / ACCUSED: Lance M. Glaser Jr. (32) Mt. Washington, Ky. INVESTIGATING OFFICERS: Officers Glen Wheatley and Tom Blair On Friday, May 2, 2014 at approximately 12:07 PM Bardstown Police responded to a physical domestic dispute call at 122 Scotch Ct. #1 Upon arrival Officers located the victim and obtained a description of the suspect Lance M. Glaser Jr. who had left the area on foot. As Officer Blair was arriving in the area he observed the suspect enter a gray vehicle in the area of the downhome barbeque parking lot. As the suspect description was given out to other responding officers, Officer Blair and Chief McCubbin then pursued the suspect vehicle, a silver 2003 Honda passenger car. Officer Blair intercepted the suspect vehicle in the area of North Third Street and Hart Ave and was stopped in the Busy Bee parking lot. Lance Glaser was taken into custody without further incident at that point. The investigation revealed that the victim; 35 year old Thomas Jurrack of Bardstown had been detained in his home by Lance Glaser Jr after he had forced his way into the home. Once inside, Glaser then had beaten the victim with brass knuckles. The victim had been detained by Glaser and had been beaten over an approximate 2 1/2 hour period. When Glasers estranged wife returned home, he fled the area after taking a shirt from the residence. At the traffic stop, a search of the suspect vehicle revealed the brass knuckles located under a seat in the vehicle and Glaser was wearing a shirt he had taken from the victim to cover his shirt which was bloody. The victim was transported to Flaget hospital where he was treated for multiple injuries to his head and face. Lance Glaser was charged with assault 1st degree, burglary 2nd, tampering with physical evidence, unlawful imprisonment and theft by unlawful taking and was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
