BARINGO SOUTH UNVEILS ITS CDF BURSARY ALLOCATION By Kendele Limo Baringo South Constituency had allocated more than Ksh. 16 million to support needy but bright children through bursary award. The beneficiaries drawn from secondary schools, Tertiary Colleges and universities were subjected to transparent and competitive process to ascertain their level of need. The chairman of the fund Mr. Harun Kipkochoi said each sub location in the new constituency represented in parliament by Hon. Grace Kipchoim was given at least two hundred thousand shillings for disbursement. And in a rare determination to positively impact on academic progress, the board has awarded Three students full scholarship. The three are Kigen Kipkoech-Emining High School, Ishmael Kibaron-Baringo High, Kipngetuny Evans Kabianga High. The board is set to increase the number as when funds are available. Mr. William Chebii, the CDF board secretary Baringo South said they will partner with other development organizations like World Vision to spur economic growth in the youngest constituency in Baringo County. This launch comes a week after the young constituency was visited by the CDF North Rift regional Director to congratulate the fund committee for the job well done being the constituency which has take lead in disbursement of both bursary and project funds.
