BART SETTLES WITH ONE UNION HAS TWO MORE TO DEAL WITH! ------------------------------------ AFSCME - BART Settlement BART and American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Local 3993 (AFSCME) have reached a Tentative Agreement on the major economic issues in their contract. As a result AFSCME will strongly advise its members to report to work immediately. AFSCME Local 3993 represents 210 BART employees who are mostly middle managers. BART continues to negotiate with ATU and SEIU, two of BART’s largest unions. ### Roddrick B.
