BASIRU AJIBOLA wrote PDP WILL BE DEFEATED ... Osun guber: Aregbesola denies alliance with Adeleke Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has declared that he had not entered into any alliance with the former governor of the state, Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke, over the August 9, 2014 governorship election in the state. The clarification came on the heels of an alleged security report that the sudden entry of Adeleke into the governorship race was to disorganize the main opposition party in the state, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pave way for easy victory for Aregbesola. Aregbesola, who spoke through the Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr. Bashir Ajibola. told newsmen in Osogbo that he does not need any unholy romance with anybody for him to win the election, saying there was no basis for that. He described the four governorship aspirants of the PDP including Senator Iyiola Omisore as comical politicians, who had no credibility to win the support of the enlightened people of the state. His words: “The allegation of romancing with Adeleke is comical and can only come from person suffering from acute illogicality in thinking because in any event, PDP will always has its candidate. So, what is our business in who becomes PDP candidate. “The truth is that the centre of Osun PDP has fallen and therefore it can no longer hold. The party is seriously factionalised. It is a discredited party because of bad leadership, maladministration and profligacy that characterised the seven and a half year rule of the party in the state. Irrespective of any candidate the PDP brings forward, the candidate will be defeated. “All the PDP aspirants being paraded have credibility problem including its new entrant. PDP should be prepared to face its defeat at the poll because they are all amalgamation of comedians and sycophants,” he said.
