BCCI decided to initiate legal proceedings against WI Cricket Board: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on 21 October 2014 decided to initiate legal proceedings against West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) for abrupt cancellation of their tour to India. It also decided to suspend all bilateral tours between BCCI and West Indies Cricket Board. BCCI’s action was unanimously taken during the all-powerful Working Committee, which met to decide the future course of action. This decision of pulling out from the series by the Caribbean team, incurred heavy losses to BCCI. Background BCCI took the decision of cancelling all bilateral tours and initiate legal proceedings after the Caribbean team in third week of October 2014, abruptly cancelled its remaining matches with India, during its tour to India. The Caribbean team cancelled India tour in the wake of an acrimonious pay dispute with the West Indies Cricket Board. The West Indies team was scheduled to play five ODIs, one T20 and three Tests matches during the tour between 8 October and 19 November 2014.
