BE A GIVER. Acts 20:35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus Himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ I pray we would recognise the importance in giving. Our relationship with God is defined by a Father who gives to us sacrificially and continually. He gives so much to us; He even poured His blood for each one of us to purchase us. Today, the Lord our God is telling us to give beyond what is expected. If we could align our hearts to God, we would understand the importance in being a giver. It is more blessed to give than to receive. I pray we would recognise that giving is about more than money, it is more than giving our tithes and offerings. We must be givers on a daily basis. The Lord does not care about the sacrifices and the “churchy” rituals. The Lord cares about our hearts and what is inside us. No one can teach us to give. Only the Lord can change our hearts. When we build an intimate relationship with God, it is hard not to imitate our Maker. Watch and see! We will soon find ourselves giving in areas we never knew we could: our words, actions, attitudes, love, prayers, forgiveness, grace towards others, servant-heartedness, the list is never- ending. There are many things in life worth more than money. I pray we would recognise that. Today, the Lord wants to unleash the power and amazing gift of giving, a gift more than money! I pray we would see this and desire it with all our hearts... Amen
