BEACON ARISE AND SERVE SKILL EDUCATION PROGRAM PREAMBLE Mr. Tumwesigye Peter Waako one of the proponents of Skill Education has worked tirelessly on this project in advocacy, campaigns and research. This education innovation and strategy aiming at mass education aware of our passed education history and the current education bottlenoses is perhaps a pass to societal prosperity. Well versed with experimental work at pilot and partial delivery of the program since 2002, and desirous to live a mark in education pedagogy, Mr. Tumwesigye Peter Waako has single handily with less resources carried out research in this undertaking that had produced curricula’s for both urban skill tracking Education and rural skill education at Mbarara and Rukungiri respectively. Now this November 2012 Mr. Tumwesigye Peter Waako announces 25 courses for rural skill education and 30 courses for urban skill education. The curriculum will be delivered under tutor -trainee lead mode time framed and evaluated under continuous assessment. The trainee will graduate with a foundation certificate in Skill Education. CONCEPT BACKGROUND Mr. Tumwesigye Peter Waako has devised 6 subjects syllabus, maximum of 6 hours concept development subjects, 4 hours of recreation and sports, and 4 hours of practice and researches a week for foundation courses which must not go beyond 90 hours training. All trainees will study the following compulsory subjects:- 1. Legal , ethics and moral education The course will cover areas like court systems and history plus administration, torts, law of contract, labor laws etc. Ethics will be related to industrial codes and ethics to particular fields of specialization. Core world Unitarian morals like peace and justice their application, appreciation and gradual enfoldment will be a centre of focus. 2. Technology Education Each trainee will develop and master the usage of computers as a basic technology tools in applications like word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and maintenance of computers and their security issues. The basic computer will be laptop PCs 3. Language and literacy Education Business English is a basic language taught and practiced. Communication skills towards achieving better writing and study skills, reading and use of libraries will be trailed. 4. Business math and accounts Education Trainees are to study and show competence in mathematics rules and general business math and statistics. Accounts shall focus on recording, summarizing, analyzing, processing and reporting. 5. Entrepreneurial skills education The subject shall focus on business planning, business capital and equity, labour, Business units, basic business laws, money and banking, E-commerce, and E-business, borrowing to finance a business, governments and taxes, business appraisals and reporting. 6. Selective course subject Issued as, below Mr. Tumwesigye Peter Waako avers that once a trainee is enrolled in this program he will continue to gain more skills from time to time as more resources are available. The program vendors and tutors are to innovate, research and produce more sequential courses in specifics course specialization. Practical education is integral and part of the training given over 4 hours a week. Recreation, games and sports are supervised and trainees are to contribute to an on going pedagogy to develop new games cognizant with current global human recreational needs. (the program vendors foresees a situation were current global sports must be overhauled to allow new games that sees many people exercise their bodies, mental and spiritual endowments than being passive onlookers). Time table shall be trainee and tutor formulated for not more than 6 hours concept education and 4 hours practical and 4 hours recreation in a week. Evaluation is built in weekly time frame trainee tutor exposure evaluation. Marks are awarded recorded and generally in a continuously model. The trainee is expected to graduate with a foundation certificate which enjoins him/her as a member of a progressive skills and knowledge users team and body for continuous education a life long undertaking. The tutor will be part of the consultative team and research body for both skill and vocational education on a life long undertaking. This concept frame work engenders a situation were trainee and citizens will be offered education from conception to eternity. The class composition assuming factors constant is to be 12 to 15 trainees per hourly study. Unless education subsidizes are available trainee will pay dues assessed and agreed by the program vendors and hence with all education and training material herewith appended in a budget procured. The tutor will be rewarded per hourly rate.
