Tickets are available from usual sellers and in local shops and bars. The Lotto takings keep the club running during the year so support would be greatly appreciated. Quiz Thanks to all who supported the Annual GAA Quiz which was held in Kate Kearneys on Sunday, 28th December. Thanks also to all who sponsored Raffle Prizes. AGM The AGM of Beaufort GAA Club will be held on Friday next, January 9th in the GAA Clubrooms at 8pm. All members are invited to attend. Exercise Classes Spring Exercise Classes will begin on Monday, 12th for 8 weeks. Timetable is as follows: Mondays: Pilates from 7-8pm. Mixed pilates from 8-9pm with Katie. Thursdays: Step aerobics from 7.15pm-8.15pm with Jonathan. Fridays:Pilates from 10am-11am with Jonathan. Over 50s Pilates/Gym from 11.10am-12.10am with Jonathan. Juvenile classes to be arranged later. This game was played in damp, cold & heavy conditions but produced a very entertaining game with great scores and lovely football from both sides. This game saw both sides stay in the game right up to 5 minutes to go when Keel/Listry stole the show. Beaufort started with all the possession but failed to materialize. 6 minutes into the game Beaufort’s Liam Carey opened the scoring with a free 2 minutes after, this point was cancelled with a Ronan Buckely Keel/Listry pt. The next minute saw a point exchanged for both sides Aaron Foley Beaufort & Conor O’Sullivan Keel/Listry. In the 1st quarter Beaufort went ahead by 4 after a point from Niall O’Connor and a superb goal from Ryan Sweneey. Keel/Listry were awarded a penalty to which Ronan Buckley duly converted. Kerry Minor Liam Carey added another point to his tally to put 2 between the sides. Keel/Listry were winning Mid Field while Beauforts Backs were outstanding. 23 minutes into this half Aaron McCarthy Keel/Listry rose the green flag after an error in the Beaufort back line to put them 1 point to the good. Minutes later saw the Keel/Listry goal scorer recieve a black card and was replaced by Tommy Buckley. To level matters before half time Niall O’Connor saw his shot sail over the bar minutes later we saw another penalty this time for Beaufort to which Danny Healy converted to bring his side 3 points ahead going in at the break. Half time score Beaufort 2-05 Keel/Listry 2-02 1st minute of this half Keel/Listry had their goal chance cleared off the line, this was followed up with the rebound for the shot to hit the cross bar and ended up in the back of the net to level the game within minutes they had another goal chance but was denied but were happy to follow on with 2 points Ronan Buckley F & Kieran Brosnan. Liam Carey slotted over his 3rd point of the game with 6 minutes gone this was cancelled out with a Tommy Buckely Point. Beaufort were running down their bench and replaced Shane O’Sullivan with Luke Sweneey & Paudie Coffey replaced Ryan Sweneey, Aaron Foley made way for Cian O’Sullivan. Keel/Listry to keep the lead saw Jake Courtney get his first score of the game to put 3 between the sides. 14 minutes into this half Beaufort needed a score and Danny Healy obliged when he levelled matters with a superb taken goal after a massive solo run. Keel/Listry’s Kieran Brosnan received a black card and was replaced by Senan Wrenn they added a further 2 points to their lead from the boot of Ronan Buckley. Niall O’Connor Beaufort added another point to his tally to put one between the sides. With 5 minutes to go Beauforts Declan floyd received a black card. Keel/Listry ploughed on and rose the green flag for the 4th time when a quick taken free was fisted into the back of the net followed closely with a point from Ronan Buckley to ensure a 5 point win. Final score Keel/Listry 4-09 Beaufort 3-07.
