BECAUSE IT WAS MEANT TO BE. :) College was like a hangout place, where Akshay came only when he had no where else to go to. While Ekta, was running her race of being among the good books of all the teachers, not by buttering them, but with her determination and zeal. She wanted to run away from those memories of her past, and let her priority change from him to her own life. One fine day, both these people ran into each other. While Ekta apologized, Akshay was busy with the abuses that came out very instantly. And then, their eyes met. To his surprise, Akshay was utterly mesmerized with her simplicity and beauty. He was sorry for his behaviour. Ekta was in a hurry to leave, and avoided all conversation possible. But as he apologized, his friends were in shock, and so was she. A guy like him was never seen being sorry for running into people, he instead made it more difficult for them. But there was something about this girl that had taken his heart away. He insisted on dropping her home, despite so many refusals, she finally agreed. As they sat on his bike, it started pouring heavily. He parked his bike somewhere around, and got into the shed, while Ekta was busy playing with those drops from the heaven. Something pulled him towards her, and he held her by her waist, pulled her close, and kissed. As their kiss ended, Ekta looked down, with her head hung low. Akshay was smiling like a stupid. He cupped her face in his hands, and said- I am sorry. I should have never left. Please forgive me for my mistake. He got down on his knees, and told her, I propose to you, for being the girl i wake up to every morning. Will you be mine? With tears trickling down her eyes, she said, Yes yes yes. And they found their way back into love.
