BEGINNERS GUIDE TO ESSENTIAL OILS Why? Read on to find out why every household should have a basic kit of essential oils : Are easy (and fun) to use, and works! Are non-toxic to our body, our kids and our pets Are friendly to our environment and the planet Promotes emotional and physical well being Improves the quality of our lives Gives us an alternative solution Has more benefits than side effects Is more effective medicinally at penetrating the blood-brain barrier and penetrating virus-infected cells. Can be used for everything from acne, eczema, asthma, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, depression, fever, coughs and colds and a million other things. Why are they so under-used? Huge pharmaceutical companies would lose billions if we started to use essential oils and other natural remedies to treat our illnesses and as preventatives as they cannot legally patent them. Essential oils are available to anyone and no company is allowed to own them. Here are our favourite essential oils and a few of their many uses: LAVENDER - acne, rashes, bites, burns, headaches, depression, colds, insomnia, cellulite, baby products, dandruff, nappy rash, hair growth. TEA TREE - Eczema, acne, warts, bites, cold sores, nits, dandruff, athletes foot, dandruff, earache, gum disease and cavities. LEMON - 1001 household cleaning products can be made with this essential oil, Bad breath, dandruff, anxiety, acne, cellulite, hair growth, coughs and colds. PEPPERMINT - Nausea, headaches, coughs, foot odour, deters pests - insects, rodents etc, appetite suppression, stomach problems and upsets. EUCALYPTUS - Chest congestion, asthma, disinfectant, coughs and colds, headaches. CLOVE - Wounds, bites and stings, fungal infections, bruises, earache, toothache, insect repellent, athletes foot. FRANKINCENSE - Acne, warts, boils, cuts, scars, insect bites, stress, migraines and headaches, anti ageing. YLANG YLANG - depression, anxiety, shock, high blood pressure, anti ageing, hair growth, insomnia.
