BEST HALLOWEEN EVER Epilogue Ive shared these Halloween stories with you not to draw attention to me, but to point the attention to Jesus and the work he continues to do through those who believe in Him. Out of the seven in our group, none of us healed anyone. Jesus did the healing. We were just obedient to touch a sick or hurting person with our hands and pray. But there are a couple principles Id like to share with you regarding what we did. They are... 1. I am who Jesus says I am. He says I am his ambassador, so I act on his behalf and on his authority. When I pray In Jesus name, Im using my position as ambassador to do the work Jesus would do if Jesus was physically present. It is as if Jesus is there instead of me. 2. I have what Jesus says I have. I have the authority of his Name and his word. Those are the tools I use and what I rely on. I have no faith, no skill, no words, and no authority of my own to cure anyone. Jesus does, though. He chooses to work when people like me step out on faith. 3. I am not unique. People with faith to believe Jesus saves them has enough faith to believe Jesus heals them. Anyone with the courage to share the Gospel of Jesus has the courage to lay hands on the sick. In either case -- sharing the salvation message or laying hands on the sick -- Jesus is in sovereign over the process and the results. Any Christian can do what our Thursday night group does.
