BEST WISHES SLAJ (1:55 am.Friday 6th June 2014) I have always loved journalism as a profession. From my days as a reporter at For di People, Independent Observer and Awoko newspapers, I kept enjoying the attributes attached to this great profession, unto my days as an Assistant Producer at Talking Drum Studio (then assisting late Nancy Sesay). As we speak, write or talk now, the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists, (SLAJ) under the leadership of Kelvin Lewis (Mr.) is heading for the northern headquarter town of Makeni, ahead of its Annual General Meeting. Many things, some of us will miss, especially remembering the last I attended in Kenema. Friends, we made, lessons we learnt and critical issues we debated. Today, some of us are far away from home. That will however, not prevent me from wishing my professional association great success ahead. How I wish we (SLAJ) get a retrospect of where we have come from, where we are at the moment, the road we have taken and our expected destination. Success ahead guys and it is hopeful, updates will be received via social media…..make friends, debate issues, but, forget not to avoid the cameras, when you go out to chill at MEMS, in Makeni. Life is how you make it and SLAJ, should make life better for the great profession we call JOURNALISM. BRAVOI BRAVO BRAVO!!!
