BETWEEN ORIGINALITY AND IMPORTATION. Senator Iyiola Omisore is an aborigine of Ile-ife. He has lived all his life in Osun State. He attained all his primary and secondary school education in Osun State except his higher education. He started his political career right in Osun State. He was the deputy governor of the state in 1999; he was elected as a senator in 2003, even when he was right inside the prison and he was also elected as a senator in 2007 for second term. His third term bid was nipped in the bud by the defunct ACN, now APC, through massive rigging in 2011. Whereas, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola claims to hail from Ilesha, Osun State,but the people of Osun believe he is an Igbira man who lived in Akoko area of Ondo State in his early life and migrated to Lagos for greener pasture after higher education. He started his political career in Lagos since 1999 until he came to contest governorship in 2007. He became a governor by the instrumentality of justice Salami via judicial manipulation. It is on record that Ogbeni has never won any election in Osun State. His policies have no bearing and direct impact on the people. He has plunged the state into wanton indebtedness. Education is in shambles. His religious bigotry has created a barrier of interface among other religions for robust interaction and peaceful co-existence. His fetish nature which is no longer in tune with the present day reality has further reduced his self-acclaimed integrity considerably. As second term is a taboo in Ekiti State, so it is in Osun State. By 9th of August, 2014, the people of Osun will showcase their character whether they are original or fake.
