BEWARE OF KEYBANK!! If you use Key Bank for any reason, be aware of the schemes and traps they use to steal your money. Have had several issues with them and their online system and apps. Paid my truck payment and the bank took out 2 payments. OK, accidents happen, but then that made the account OD and here came the charges and fees. Was 3 weeks getting that straightened out. They didnt want to reverse the fees even when it was their error, when they did they told me I only got one reversal a year as a benefit. Incredible. Now, a check was written off the account and deposited into another bank at 7:30 PM Monday. Went in and deposited the money to cover at 1:30PM Tuesday. Double checked the online systems, the app, etc. Watched closely to see if there was an issue. NOTHING! YAY! Today?? Overdraft pops up. I check the register, the online system. No where does it say I went negative. No where does it show any warning or anything that there was a problem. I call, well its because my deposit isnt available so it ODd me because they only made part of the deposit available. Never had this problem in the past. Funny, they took the ENTIRE $200, not $100. But only $100 was available. Folks on the phone were rude and had no interest in explaining to me anything. Just kept saying over and over that it was in the agreement. That microscopic font, 300 page document. Wouldnt listen, talked over me on every turn. I thought banks were suppose to help folks? Not Key Bank. Im not perfect, never claimed to be, but I am fair and I dont like being taken advantage of or feel like Im being wronged. I strongly feel that Key Bank is out to make money by hook or crook and they are using us middle class folks to do it!! Am closing my account and going through a credit union and I would advise any one else considering Key Bank (or any big bank for that matter) to do the same.
