Atal Bihari Vajpayee- # Political Career 1) 1996–Prime Minister of India (for 13 days) 2) 1998-99–Prime Minister of India;Minister of External Affairs(for 13 Months) 3) 13 Oct.1999 to 13 May 2004– Prime Minister of India # He was elected as Member of Loksabha 10 times. # In 1980 he became the BJPs first President. # Vajpayee was the first head of government from outside the Congress party to serve a full five-year term # He is known for his poetry also. # Madan Mohan Malaviya- * An Indian educationist and politician notable for his role in the Indian independence movement and his espousal of Hindu nationalism (being one of the initial leaders of the far-right party Hindu Mahasabha). * He was the President of the Indian National Congress on two occasions (1909 & 1918) * Founded Banaras Hindu University (BHU) at Varanasi in 1916 * He also founded a highly influential, English-newspaper, The Leader published from Allahabad in 1909. * He was also the Chairman of Hindustan Times from 1924 to 1946 * On his 150th birth anniversary (25 December 2011), Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh announced that a Centre for Malviya Studies will be set up at the Banaras Hindu University apart from establishment of scholarships and education related awards in his memory, and UPA chairperson released a biography of Madan Mohan Malaviya Note- 25 Dec is Birth anniversary of Atal Bihary Vajapayee and Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya ***** Every year 25 Dec celebrated a Good Governance day *********
