BI OPCO Project Manager PBT Group requires an OPCO Project Manager for large Business Intelligence Telco projects running mostly in the Cape Town region. Previous experience managing projects in the Business Intelligence arena is critical. MUST be able to travel internationally. The primary purpose of this position is to plan and manage the successful delivery of projects in order to meet the strategic objectives. Projects form part of a larger program in line with Customer Requirements. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the delivery of the project as per the project scope. The Project Manager must have the following Core Competencies: - Technical understanding: Ability to understand technical terminology. - Performance oriented: Highly motivated and driven to perform at the peak of his or her abilities. - Leadership: Proven leader who thrives in a team environment. - Effective communication: Good interpersonal, assertiveness and communication skills and able to communicate effectively, adapting style to audience. - Achieving results: Delivers activities to best of ability and is motivated by delivering excellence. - Customer focus: Identify and effectively respond to the diverse needs of project customers. - Team work: Able to work reliably and responsibly with internal and external colleagues, demonstrating cross-functional working and encouraging and supporting others to achieve project and organisational goals. - Planning and organising: Able to manage activities, resources and issues, with the ability to identify and manage contingencies and risks. - Negotiation: Skills to negotiate and influence all levels of the organisation. SKILLS REQUIRED: - Experience of managing and delivering a number of projects within the BI field. - Have experience of working as a Project Manager (3-5 years experience). - Have completed industry recognised Project Management training courses or diplomas. - Experience and relevant knowledge in different project management methodologies, tools, techniques and environments in order to meet specific goals and objectives. - Must have good business skills and general knowledge. - Be able to work with the minimum of supervision. - Problem solving and decision making skills. - Ability to work under stressful conditions.
