BI Systems Manager: Category : Information Technology Location/City : NY - New York ResponsibilitiesThe Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for service management across the clients best-in-class advertising sales analytical ecosystem. This is a key leadership role on the award-winning, dynamic and innovative Advertising Sales Technology team. The goal of this group is to integrate data from a variety of sources and deliver accurate, timely and actionable information solutions to the advertising sales business unit supporting the growth of a multi-billion dollar revenue stream across the clients premiere sports, entertainment and news divisions. Key responsibilities include: Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure analytical services are aligned with business goals supporting key advertising sales operating mechanisms such as daily cash pacing, budgeting and long-range revenue planning Drive data consistency across 20+ source system interfaces to the advertising sales commercial data warehouse (CDW), as well as downstream analytical systems including upgrades and migrations to new platforms (packaged and custom-developed software) Manage a global team of development resources supporting the advertising sales analytical ecosystem (MicroStrategy reporting, Informatica ETL and Teradata data warehouse) Support over 1,000+ end users and ensure timely payout of sales incentive compensation (SIC) for over 200+ sales representatives via data warehouse and CRM systems Establish consumer-grade customer service experience for end users of analytical systems; capture new requests, work with key partners to prioritize backlog and provide timely status throughout the entire life cycle Ensure technology platforms are best in class and compliant with enterprise standards Partner with CRM, BI and application development managers and architects to research emerging technologies such as big data and data science ensuring a sound technical foundation is in place for future growth and scalable support Work with cross-functional groups, such as transactional sales system teams, EDW shared services and project teams to provide analytical services to the advertising sales group Develop a standard approach to quality assurance testing and coordinate with onsite and offshore development resources to ensure products are delivered within standards and guidelines Provide consistent analytics service levels including but not limited to release management, ETL and report scheduling, outage management and issue resolution; troubleshoot problems such as data reconciliation, scheduling failures and data delivery delays outside agreed upon timelines Create and maintain standard operating procedures, documentation and communication protocols including the development of a future-state metadata platform ensuring common language and definitions are used across the portfolioQualifications Bachelors degree in MIS, computer science or related field Minimum 7 years of systems analysis, project management or related professional experience Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and written Technical skills required: business intelligence, data warehousing, data integration, reporting and analytics Collaborative change agent with the drive to self start and constantly seek improvements Well balanced understanding of business relationships, business requirements, IT requirements, technical solutions, test strategy and approach plans and test plans Able to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships Strong time management and organization skills Strong dependencies management, assessment and tracking skills Good listener and open to different points of view Strong critical and analytical skills with an attention to detailDesired Technical skills desired: Teradata, Hadoop, Informatica, MicroStrategy Other technology: Java, Oracle, .NET, ASP, SQL Server, Salesforce Media experience dlvr.it/4lYMw2
