BIDA PDP YOUTH CALLS FOR REMOVAL OF ITS PARTY CHAIRMAN. Last week hundreds of youths under the auspices of PDP Bida youth movement storm the streets of Bida town, Bida Local Government Area in Niger State in a peaceful protest calling for the sacking of four principal officers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area. The principal officers are the party Chairman, Alhaji Sule Ndachitso, Secretary, Prince Umar Usman Sarki, Hajiya Asabe Mohammed woman Leader and Organizing protocol, Danjuma Hussaini. In an interview with one of the protesters, Mall. Abdukadir Yabagi who is the PDP Cheniya ward secretary, said the officers took decisions without consultations with other party members. He alleged that the officers collected Ten Million Naira to endorse Engineer Mohammed Sharu as the sole candidate for House of Representatives from the constituency in next year’s general elections as against other aspirants. Mall. Yabagi advised that competent people of proven integrity should be elected. Some of the youths who also spoke to our correspondent expressed dismay over the negative attitude of the PDP Executives and called for change in order to move the party forward. The angry youths criticized the officers for taking side with an aspirant saying that all aspirants should be allowed to contest at the primaries elections. They stressed the need for the party to carry everyone along so as to win 2015 general elections at all levels. The protesters who marched from Bida Town Hall to PDP Secretariat chanted slogans and carryed placards with various messages, “No more Alh. Sule as chairman PDP, say no to discrimination in PDP, say no to injustice, we need positive change in PDP, our party need peace (PDP).
