BIG SWAMP NEWS: Hello from the beautiful Big Swamp and it is so good to be back on FB with all my buddies. I am feeling very good today and got my day off to a wonderful start.. Today my Church, Antioch Baptist is celebrating their 197th year Homecoming.. It was a beautiful and such an inspiring service and everyone seem so happy today and you could feel so much spirit in our service from the minute Pastor Mark Meadows began the service...We were so honored to have our former Pastor and dear friend, Rev. CJ Bordeaux and his lovely wife Donna with us and CJ delivered our Homecoming sermon and he is as amazing as always and a true man of God.... Rev CJ was our Pastor from 1984 until 1993 and is currently the President of our NC State Convention.. We had guest singers, Mercys Well and they are wonderful..It was just a beautiful service and I was honored to sit with Rosemarie Glenn MyRefuge who runs My Refuge which is a non profit organization that provides food and temporary shelter for impoverished or underprivileged individuals..She is a lovely lady and her service of feeding the homeless speaks for itself..I made a promise to myself this morning that I would volunteer to help her whenever I can and I will.. She is one of those people who makes you feel so good just being around her..Yes, my day is off to a beautiful beginning and feeling good for a change is such a blessing.. Its been a rough year down at the Gola house with aches and pains but we have been lucky that it hasnt been anything life threatening and what weve dealt with is fixable or has been so far,so no complaints from us.. I just had to share some happy news for a change because all this winy and feeling puny news gets old I know because I know it does for me delivering it. lol Have a beautiful and extremely happy day and remember I love all of you and until next time from the Big Swamp.........
