BIKEWAY RECOMMENDED FOR $365,000 GRANT! In partnership with the Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District, the Bikeway section near Farad has been recommended for funding through a Recreational Trails Program grant, administered by California State Parks. This funding source was at risk of elimination earlier this year, and is still uncertain due to federal budget questions, so it isnt a sure thing yet, but a crucial step forward. This money will build the final two miles of trail connecting Verdi to Floriston in 2015. Thank you California State Parks and TDRPD!
