BJJ & Marketing Truth. The reason so many BJJ schools close is because of poor marketing. Shit, I hated marketing and closed mine so I say that first-hand. In any case, learn marketing for your school. The worst thing in my opinion is BJJ schools closing down where its a livelihood for someone, especially families. Support your school/dojo, and buy all their stuff, shirts, patches, etc. Jiu Jitsu for whats its worth is exploited as a market sadly by many in terms of low prices for what its worth. Im of the opinion that high rates should be the norm. Why? because rent isnt cheap, it works and is why some karate dojos have hundreds of students - perceived value. Jiu Jitsus value is not only perceived but real value. I mean you can save your life defense-wise and lose 50 pounds, adding ten years to it health-wise. Isnt that worth something? I think marketing should take priority over everything by a wide margin because if you dont have a school and you want one but cant afford its lights, then whats the point. Thats all.
