CHAIRMAN Artisan Cell Bhartaiya Janatha Party, New Delhi. Sirs, Crave myself to write a few suggestions. Perhaps , this is the first time in the history of Independent of India that a political party has evolved itself to provide an opportunity for the Vishwakarma community to express themselves the need of changes required by them to restore dignity , honour and heritage. It may not be right for me to dwell in the history of our community, as the conference have several eminent and illustrious personality to express their views and more knowledgeable than me about our community. These are my suggestions: 1. Formation of Bharhiya Shilipa Academy (independent org. Vishwakarma shilpies to be appointed. It is not limited only sculptors or temple builders but also all five hereditary profession.) This Academy should also do research related to community. A national policy for remuneration to be given to shilipies/ insurance/ medical or otherwise. 2. Encourage jewelry shops MNC retailers to purchase at least 30% handmade jewels from Gold smiths. Set up institute where gold smith in large numbers in creativity in development jewels or cooperative marketing systems equally applicable to other profession pursued by our community. 3. Reservation within OBC marked for exclusively for our community. 4. Just as Shri Virat Vishwakarma scarified himself for the creation of the universe, our shilipies have sculpted their way with innumerable monuments around India and also word without their names implanted on any of their creations. Therefore suggest a placard made out of metal or carved in stone to be installed in every archeological or otherwise places stating that THIS IS THE WORK OF VISHWAKRMA SHILIPIES( WITHOUT THEIR SWEAT AND TOIL WHER BHARAT WOULD BE.) 5. Establishment of Vishwakarm University along with five profession other engineering subjects to be thought (our people cannot pay high donation and fees) exclusive as minority group within OBC. If Artisan cell, under BJP Govt can take up the issues involved for the development of vishwkarma community , you will make community to come out of their hibernation to the national stream.
