BJP in Maharashtra: Wanted to contest in about 130 seats and Shiv Sena were not ready to give more than about 120. And they are set to win about 115. Thats excellent. (No question of winning so many seats had they contested even the 130 which they were seeking). A turning point in their relationship with Shiv Sena. Uddhav loses the moral ground to seek CM post and will look silly if he does land it. Shiv Sena are clearly castigated and will have to eat humble pie and be the Junior partner. Will their ego allow them? Congress and NCP combine landing 100 out of 288 seats. Not bad at all. Infact if Congress NCP and SS get together they can keep BJP out mathematically but it will be political suicide for all of them. Amit Shah may actually be an unsatisfied man today! He would have wanted BJP to cross 145 by themselves. And if all of opposition unite, BJP will not stand a chance. Political Parties in UP will be watching this with glee... The clear majority for BJP in Haryana was a surprise. Then again, maybe not.
