BJP on Saturday sought to know how the Intelligence Bureau shared information with Rahul Gandhi on ISIs activities in riot-hit Muzaffarnagar and asked Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde whether he is aware of these inputs and what action has been taken to deal with it. Rahul Gandhis speech is being criticised by people across the country. We would like to ask the Home Minister who was this IB official who gave this briefing to Gandhi and whether the same input was given to him as well. If yes, then what steps has Shinde taken, BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said. BJP asked that in what capacity was the information shared by IB with Gandhi, who is officially only an MP. The Home Minister also has a duty to clarify how ISI is active in the area, Javadekar said. The party alleged that Gandhi has cast aspersions on the patriotism of the riot victims. The victims have denied that they were approached by ISI. They say we are Indians... Irresponsible statements are being made by Congress leaders, Javadekar said. The main Opposition noted that IB is aware of ISI being in touch with the riot victims and yet no action is being taken. What kind of an intelligence apparatus do we have? Javadekar said. BJP further asked if Gandhi, who seeks to run for an important office in future, should have shared such information in public. As Narendra Modi said, he is questioning the patriotism of Muslims by associating them with terrorism. What kind of politics is this? Javadekar said. BJP also criticised Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Aggarwal for saying the facilities being provided to riot victims in the camps is better than what they had in theirhomes. Aggarwal and other SP leaders have lost their balance. Hehas also disrespected women with some other comments. We condemn it. The National Commission for Women should take action, Javadekar said.
