Jehangir said that people in the other parts of the country have realized that Congress duringthe past 60-years has failed to make India shine. “The assembly elections are a golden opportunity for people of JK to follow the footsteps of their countrymen and change their destinies and get rid of Family Raaj,” he said. Taking a dig at Congress leaders for indulging in what he called mere rhetoric, Jehangir said, “The Congress party has realized that its defeatis inevitable. The Congress leaders are trying to divert the attention of the people by playing a communal card and are hoping that they would be able to hoodwink the people by raising hollow slogans. ”The BJP spokesman said that Congress leaders should realize that times have changed and people have matured politically and they cannot be taken for a ride anymore. “BJP’s people friendly policies and spectacular performance of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the past six months have frustrated Congress leaders and is making them believe that their political careers have ended,” Jehangir added.
