BLACKBERRY decided extend BBM to other phones like iphones and androids because blackberry was already running at a loss. It is only in Nigeria that people, especially ladies are crazy about blackberry phones, only in Nigeria people would use their whole life savings to buy a blackberry phone which is no reason Nigeria has highest number of used Blackberry(london used). In other countries Htc, Nokia, iphone, samsung phones and the likes made more sales. In other words, this is a good move for blackberry. There is no way in the world they would have gone ahead with the move if it wasn’t gonna be in their favor.
