BLESSED: One year ago this month, an amazing lady decided to take a chance w me and teach me to dance. After 9 surgeries for being a little extreme in certain athletics over the years, there wasnt much to work w except my desire to learn. Lynn Ferguson simply did not see what was, she focused on what could be. She epitomizes what true coaching should be. The doctors had said months before that it would be impossible to dance w/o a full knee replacement, but they did not know Lynn (those that know her are smiling) - for she is also a health and nutrition whiz and she would not only teach me to dance, she would help me to get incredibly healthy as well. She believed; she encouraged; and she coached. Along the way she would introduce me to another incredible coach- Shelley James! With them, Chad David Guidry-Burch, Stephanie Jeghers Noman and so many others like David Appel, Cory Decuire, Catherine Pisano, Carmen Scarborough Goodman , Kacie Lewis, Red Draper and Bob Wheatley, and so many more amazing people, my life would be forever changed. I am truly grateful. I now dance w/ my 5 beautiful daughters- a true dream. Something hard to explain since it is so incredibly amazing. I also get to compete in both ballroom and country and TRULY enjoy dancing in showcases. And one day- one day-Ill dance w someone not only on the floor, but through life. Thanks Lynn for an amazing first year! Blessed.
