BOARD BRIEFS The Select Board met last night with all five members present. They discussed the following: • Kelly Davis from PortOne Architect was in with an update on the Fire Station. The recommendation is to move forward to find a Construction Manager (CM). The Board decided to discuss this further at its next meeting. • Call Firefighter pay was corrected to be consistent and in line with current policy as stated in the Personnel Policy. • Based on the site visit last Friday, the Kimball Cabins are being closed to use effective immediately. The land can still be used, but not the buildings. The Board will appoint a committee to determine future use and then a decision will be made on whether to take down some or all of the cabins. • A letter is being sent to Fish & Game notifying them that the boat landing at Joesylvia Pond is washing into the water. • The annual joint meeting of the Select Board and School Board will be on September 23. • Town Meeting will be on Saturday, March 15, 2013.
