BOOKS to WATCH: some kids are interested in Diary of a Wimpy Kid & Captain Underpants...while not personally recommended for academic reading, it can capture the attention and keep it of some children, boys in particular (and I do have some chuckles when reading them). I do recommend that most books are looked through and reviewed by parents. For some, books such as those named are a far cry from what their child has been exposed to and what they are ready for on a maturity and boundary level. I do recommend parents reading these kinds of books first or with their child, so there arent any surprises that show up in language or behavior. (Harry Potter, Twilight series...)
