BOWLERS LUNGE! Who has tried this exercise move? If youre one of my PiYo peeps, I know you have! Haha Ive got a love hate relationship with these. Ive never been a fan of working my lower body (hate squats and lunges).... but let me tell you, after doing PiYo lower body moves, its not so bad! Benefits of Bowlers Lunge? * Works lower body * Specifically the outer hip, glutes! (Your butt muscle) * Simultaneously stretches ITBand * Improves Balance Start with feet shoulder width apart, and toes pointing straight ahead. If starting on right side, move right leg and lunge into curtsy position, pushing the left hip out (activating left glute muscle). Come out of position and can repeat on other side, or transition with a squat in between bowlers lunge. In this particular video Im demonstrating how you can begin with singles, add doubles, then triple squat and lunge, then transition back to singles. Take your time with this move. Start slow and make sure you focus on technique over pace! Great for the glutes. If you dont feel the burn, youre doing it incorrectly. Enjoy
