BREAKFAST BREWING: Maybe its just me but, I never stop being amazed at folks who believe themselves more than competent enough to advise/guide other peoples lives with their only source of information/compass being the life they themselves have lived and are still living. Huh? Some of us gotta stop believing/buying our own hype (or trying to sell it to others. Chi-ching!) and attend to our own souls business. I can post my thoughts, feelings, opinions etc. all I want (and you know I do lol), theyre just that - my own thoughts, feelings, opinions etc. Call me crazy but, lifes personal issues, concerns, twists and turns cannot not be easily explained or solved with inspirational memes or one-size-fit-all life lessons. Add social media & self-publishing to the mix and you get a host of folks peddling pablum to their FB friends list and Twitter following for $1.99 on Amazon. Granted, I do come across folks with true inspiration and knowledge to share but, the proliferation of the dubiously inspired and the cacophony of their transparent self-promotion makes it extremely difficult for anyone looking for real guidance & direction to benefit. Nine times outta ten, if we only just look inward and rely on self-honesty (yes, I made that up) we can be further along in our own growth chart. Kudos to those with REAL intentions and shame on the ones just trying to cash in. Co-opting, marketing and profiting from other peoples pain is no way to make a buck. Mi trow mi corn, mi nuh call nuh fowl.
