BREAKING NEWS ... AS A RESULT OF A POSTING ERROR DISCOVERED BY THE CANVASS OF VOTES IN ALAMOGORDO, THERE HAS BEEN A REVERSAL IN THE RESULTS OF THE DISTRICT 4 ELECTION. IT APPEARS NOW THAT JENNIFER A. TURNBULL IS THE NEW DISTRICT 4 COMMISSIONER, NOT, INCUMBANT, JOSH RARDON. HERE IS THE TEXT OF A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CITY OF ALAMOGORDO TIME STAMPED AT 5:50 PM THIS AFTERNOON. On March 6, 2014 the Official Canvass of the Election Results began. During the canvass, it was discovered that a transcription error had been made by the Clerk’s office and the Absentee Voters count for District 4 was entered incorrectly into the spreadsheets used to announce the Unofficial Results on March 4, 2014. Instead of reading “45” under Joshua Rardin it should have read “5” in the Absentee Voters Row. As a result of the canvass, the Clerk’s office made the correction and it was discovered that the District 4 candidate receiving the most votes was Jennifer A. Turnbull. Megan L.
