BREAKING NEWS: The London Mail online has reported that EU officials were recorded discussing evidence that the violence directed at Maidan protestors was from the same snipers who attacked police responding to the violence after the EU offered a deal that Yanukovich agreed to. At the end of the article, the source of the evidence denies what the EU officials were saying was established fact, having heard the tapes. Presumably, she fears for her life from the terrorists in charge of Ukraine post-coup. The EU is obviously taking this very seriously and has imposed sanctions on the individuals believed to be involved in the shootings. However, Christoff Lehmann points out that the EU may be trying to hide its involvement in the coup and get rid of the worst elements so that it can cut corrupt deals with the moderate coup plotters. That is very likely, given their recent offers to the new government, which is illegal under Ukrainian law and illegitimate under international law. Of course, it was immediately recognized by both the EU and the US, who were behind it.
